Shrinky Dinks and Plaster Stars

We finally did the Shrinky Dink and plaster Christmas ornaments. At first, Calvin wasn't sure about the whole thing, but once he saw what was happening in the oven and then that we were hanging them on the tree, he was an unstoppable force.

The Shrinky Dinks baking under the cinnamon rolls. I have a baking problem lately, I just can't stop.
I had some extra plaster laying around, so we bought some star cookie cutters and made some stars and painted them. From Top left, Calvin's 2 stars then Hadlee's 2, then mine and Tyler's on the end with the 'T".
The tree is complete. It's a bit of a hokey tree, I know. The kids picked all the decorations and decorated it, which I usually wouldn't let them do for our main tree. And they had to be economical because I am not going to ship Christmas decorations home. Even though it's not what I would have picked, I think I like it and maybe we started a new tradition. Only hokey Christmas Trees from now on.
