Sunset on the North Shore

We were driving home from Snorkeling with Grandma, Grandpa and Chrissy, and the sun started to set. It was the first sunset we had seen on the North Shore and it was so pretty.

(My dad took these pictures)

Waimea Bay

Waimea Bay was Chrissy's must do for the trip to Hawaii.
Hadlee jumping off the smaller side.

My dad, going for it.

Chrissy

Me
Calvin went up to the small side, but he didn't want to jump, he was content to just play in the waves and sand.

Maunawili Falls Trail

My dad, Jan and Chrissy came to visit! They wanted to go on this hike and I am glad they did. It was our first hike in Hawaii and it was so pretty and really cool.

I forgot to bring shoes for Calvin so I took mine off too. Until we started carrying him at the end, then I put them back on.
At the end of the hike there is this big waterfall that you can jump off. There are 4 or 5 different spots, the smallest is the one Hadlee jumped off, and the biggest was so high I couldn't even see where they were jumping from.

Hadlee, sitting and waiting for her turn.
After Hadlee had jumped a couple times, Calvin was saying, "Calvin's turn." So I started to swim him over to let him jump and he changed his mind. :)

Today was the day....

We had this zip lock bag full of money. Every time we bring change home, we put it in the bag. Hadlee is, of course, fascinated with it. A few months ago we were having school and using the money to learn when she asked me if she could have all the money. I told her that as soon as she could count it by herself, she could have it.

This morning she wanted to go to McDonald's for breakfast. I asked her if she had money to pay for it. She said she didn't, but we did have this big bag of money. I told her we would need at least 15 dollars for breakfast and she started counting. When she announced the $20.37, I asked her if she wanted to keep it or spend it on breakfast. She was confused and I reminded her that I had told her when she could count it by herself she could have it. She decided to keep it and not go to McDonald's.

the haul

She was surprised how heavy it was. (Tyler and I both told her we liked her outfit today.Ü)

Later they set some chairs up right outside the front door to have some popsicles.

(I can not get her to keep her hand away from that area!!!)

They are facing a wall, which was funny because Hadlee said they wanted to set some chairs up to enjoy the outdoors while they ate.
