Double Feature

We have a neighbor named Joe Morley. He is 4 and his birthday is in December so he is a bit younger than Hadlee. Tyler noticed the other day that Joe was riding a bike without his training wheels. I don't know if you all know this about us, but we are VERY into "keeping up with the Morley's," so of course Tyler decided that if Joe can ride his bike without his training wheels, Hadlee should also be able to. Almost immediately, he was getting a wrench to remove the "little wheels" from her bike. It took a couple days and one incident with some road rash on her elbow but she is now able to do it and we feel better to have not been out done by the neighbors. (Joe was first, but I would like to see them prove it.) Just wait until Joe jumps off a cliff. Anyway, here is some bike riding video from Monday.

Hadlee performed at the Carbon Drill Team Spring Show on Thursday, she was looking all over for me and finally found me right before she started dancing. I spared you from having to watch her look around for 5 minutes while they were waiting for the music to start, it was just too suspenseful. I thought it was so cute when she finally saw me and waved. (even though Julia tells them not to wave at their parents, what a rebel.)

We'll have to post some video of Calvin shortly so he doesn't feel left out. Stay tuned....

Who would have guessed?

On Thursday, Tyler and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Here are the things that baffle me about this event.
1. I can't believe it's been 10 years!!! (It's ridiculous, really.)
2. I can't believe I made such a decision at 19, I just am not sure I was mature enough to be making such life changing decisions. Somehow it worked out, but it baffles me that it has because I know what I was like as a 19 year old. (I was stupid.)
3. How different we both are. I am still stupid sometimes, but all in all, It feels like I am a completely different person than I was 10 years ago. I think Tyler would say the same thing about himself. What baffles me about it is, when we got married we were very similar, but we are both completely different people now and still very similar, and somehow we still like each other.

Here are some pictures from where it all began!

This newspaper clipping is proof of the poor judgment I usually displayed as a 19 year old. I was getting married in the temple and check out the shirt I have on, seriously?

These pictures in front of the temple are my favorites. I only wish I would have had a real photographer come to the temple instead of just having family take photos. (oh yes, another poor judgment call.)

I did have a photographer come to the reception. I also made 7 of my friends have dresses made and 6 of them stand in line (one of them just couldn't bear the thought.) I love these pictures because of the people in them. Check out how young Chrissy and Matthew were. I do wish though, that I would have forgone the reception and the cake and such and taken the money and ran. Maybe to Hawaii. (That could be poor judgment call #3)

This Shania Twain song was one that we played for our first dance as husband and wife. "Looks like we made it." Have we ever made it though? It seems like the odds are stacked and there is never a time when I feel like I can say, "Now, I am sure we will make it and be together forever." There are too many unknowns and possibilities. I hope we do though, then maybe Tyler can play this song at my funeral and we will have really made it.

And we're off to........

HAWAII!!!!!!

I have been planning on cutting my hair for a while, but I am going to have to keep it in order to be a good hula dancer. I am sure I will look just like this girl in no time. We will be here until the end of the Summer and hopefully be able to sell our house and then off to Hawaii. We are all pretty excited. Hadlee can't wait to play with Lilo and wear flip flops all year round, and I think Calvin will love it just as much. I can't wait!!!
