Outtakes

Here are some pictures that didn't make the blog for whatever reason this summer.
Pictures on Alexis and Travis' farm maybe in April?

Calvin captured by HadleeGoin' Ridin'
Some might call it war paint, others call it mascara.
Hadlee learned to take her own picture, this is one of many found on my camera.

It rained one day and made a double rainbow.

Tyler said good-bye to his beloved truck.

Joe's Valley was freezing, but we didn't care.
I guess summer is over, I don't know where it went. It goes quickly every year, but this one was the quickest for me so far. Hope everyone had a great summer!!

Calvin's Birthday

Calvin turned 4 on August 4th. We were in Grand Junction and had a small birthday party with the Tatton's. Then on Sunday, we had a party with all the Price people. This year Calvin's cake was McQueen. He also got a Lightning McQueen bike for his birthday, but we don't have pictures because we didn't take our camera to Grand Junction.

He loves the birthday song and has been so excited that we were singing his name and he got to be the one to blow out the candles. Whenever he sees fire, instead of calling it "fire" he calls it, "birthday to you."
My dad thought that Calvin wouldn't want to eat the cake because he was so excited it was McQueen. I didn't let him see it until the candles were lit and we were singing. We slapped some ice cream on the side and gave him a fork and he tore into it like a pro.
The rest of us had a cake full of gluten. No one wanted to share Calvin's gluten free cake with him so he got it all to himself. I guess there are some perks to being on a special diet.

We are so blessed to have Calvin as part of our family. He is the sweetest boy I have ever seen, always giving us kisses and loves. He is starting to put some sentences together and behind or not we still get so excited with his improvements. It's hard to believe he is four, but it seems like he has always been part of our family, I don't remember what it was like without him. Happy Birthday Buddy!
