Hadlee's Birthday

I felt a little bad this year because it seemed like Hadlee's birthday got lost in the shuffle. Right when we were throwing possessions in boxes, she was about to turn 7. Like so many other times in her life, I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off instead of being able to be a mom. I should have taken months to plan the perfect party. In years past I have bought her a birthday outfit for her special day. This year, I hate to admit, I fell short. What I love about Hadlee is; she didn't even notice.
We went to Bananas on her birthday and she loved it. There was basketball game there that she couldn't get enough of. She loved that it only took 1 coin and I think she played it a million times. At one point I asked how many more time she would play, and she responded, "How many coins do I have left? That's how many times I will play."

Hadlee's friend, Klaire, called from California to wish her Happy Birthday. While she was talking on the phone, I saw a flash of life with her as a teenager. She looked so cute.
She got to open a few presents on her day. A scooter from Grandma and Papa
and a new bike from Mom and Dad. She also got a camera (the pictures w/ the date stamps were taken by her with her new camera).
Calvin got a new bike too. :)
Tyler was jealous so he tried out her scooter.Hopefully by the time she is less easy to please, I will be more prepared for the task. Maybe I should start planning next year's celebration now.
