We got a Wii for Christmas.
Calvin has quickly become obsessed.
I will tell him it's time for school. "No, play da Wii."
I will tell him it's time for church. "No, play da Wii."
I have to keep reminding him that if he doesn't got to school or church he doesn't get to play.
And when I say I have to keep reminding him, it's EVERYDAY!
The same conversation.
Like groundhog day.
Part of me thinks it's adorable and the other part of me wants to slap that part in the face for finding any amusement with it.

He is playing his favorite game thus far, Mario Kart. I wonder if he thinks of little else all day. I will pick him up from school and some of the first things he tells me will be that he wants to play Wii cars and wants to be the gorilla (or dinosaur). (He has his own names for all the characters.)

Gorilla=Donkey Kong
Dinosaur = Bowser
M=Mario
Baby M=Baby Mario
Dragon= Yoshi
L=Luigi
and the list goes on.

The Wii turned Connor into a monster. He would absolutely freak when we turned it off. We found that a Wii timer works the best. He gets a half hour then when the timer goes off, he gets right up and shuts everything down and doesn't bug us about it the rest of the day. It's been beautiful. :)
Yay Calvin!
I love Mario Bros also. I am really good at it.
