From reading the blog, I am sure everyone knows how much I love Twilight. I couldn't imagine knowing that other people were going to see the movie before I would. I really wanted to go at midnight, but Tyler didn't want me to drive to Salt Lake to see a movie. So a couple weeks before Twilight was going to come out, I talked to the guy in Price who owns the movie theater and this is how the conversation went:
Me: Are you going to show Twilight at midnight?
Him: Yep
Me: Are you going to sell tickets in advance?
Him: Nope...wish I was computerized like they are "Up North."
So, if I was going to see the movie at midnight, I would have to stand in line. Or would I? I started to come up with a scheme that included me making tickets for movie theater guy to pre-sell and then I would be able to buy one and not have to stand in line. I was pretty excited about my plan and started explaining it to Tyler. I got about to the part where I was going to make the tickets and he stopped me and said (a little defeated), "Why don't you just drive to Salt Lake."
Yay!!! I got online and the closest theater I could easily find that was selling tickets in advance was in Sandy (the others were sold out). I talked my dad into letting me take Chrissy and made sure Jenny was serious about wanting to go to the movie with me, and I bought 3 tickets.
I have never been to the midnight showing of a movie before, but I loved it. Everyone was so excited in the theater. If I were a screamer, I would have been screaming and clapping with them, but I just laughed. The excitement was so infectious, you couldn't help but be giddy. (Even though, I am an old mom, I was still as giddy as the teens who were there.)
Here is a picture of us before we left.
Jenny made us these shirts with her embroidery machine and they turned out really cute. If you are going to be fanatic enough to go to a movie at midnight and get out at 3:00 in the morning, you might as well have cute shirts.Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just can't resist the urge to coordinate clothing for any major event in my life. Thanks for playing along. :)
And I also have to add that the red eye fixer made me look a little like sweet Gracie!! (or a young Davey)... haha.
The shirts are adorable. and I did go see the movie on thanksgiving and although I have not read the books...I loved the movie.
I LOVE the shirts! They turned out so cute! :)
My mother-in-law and I went and saw it a few days ago. It was so funny because some teenage boys got dragged there with their girlfriends. After the movie the girls were going to the bathroom and I could hear the boys saying, "That was the stupidest movie I've ever seen- why do they like that so much?" I was laughing so hard. I loved it too. Can't wait for the next ones!!
The shirts are so cute! I get to make some now! Ya!, by the way you all look so good in that pic! ;)
I'm officially addicted, or "bitten". I tried to withstand, but oh the peer pressure. Finished New Moon last night.
I'm glad you had such a fun night! I think I'm one of the only people in the country who hasn't read a single Twilight book.
Miranda,
Don't give in, unless you want it to consume you!!
Good Luck!
I really want one of those shirts! I also have to add that not only did Nolan go with me once to the movie, but he also went again with me after I had re-read the book. He's a keeper... :)
oh.. and he didn't even complain once! I guess there is one good thing about dating.
I'm all over it! I only have 4 Harry Potter books until I can start being obsessed with the Twilight ones. How cool is it that we are moving to Tucson?! Every time we go to ID I can stalk you or maybe I can tell you to meet me at a McDonalds and not show up ;)
